Choosing a channel

I spoke to my teacher yesterday about my pitch for my documentary, to start with I chose to put my documentary on BBC Three but this is too much of a younger audience. As my target audience is an older category and my documentary is a very mainstream topic so we decided to change the channel to BBC One. I will look at the panoramas as my teacher said it would probably end up like that. BBC One aims to target 16-34 year olds which is better for my documentary as anyone younger than 16 most likely won't be interested in my topic.
