Age verification certificate related to horror

 Age certification related to horror

I got all my information from the website BBFC, this is the British Board of Film Classification. It was interesting looking into more detail about the age certificates, it was also interesting to see that there are films in all age ratings. Most horror films are rated age 15 as there is violence which under 15 is not allowed, 15 and over are more likely to watch horror films as they are won't get scared as easily and they find the scares thrilling.

From research about the age certificates, it is from that, that I think my opening sequence and preliminary task will be rated as a 15 because i want to include violence and feel risky and mature, so 15 and under want to watch it and rule breaking around it. 15 - 18 won't be as interested in a 12A as they might think it might be childish.

film productions companies want to reach maximum audience potential so they work closely with the BBFC for example James bond, Casino Royale, he's naked in a chair getting tortured, but you don't see the torture but it is implied this makes it a 12A
