Looking at interviews in documentaries

In all of these interviews they use a grey/black screen which does have an affect on the audience as it is emotive for the audience. 

I wanted to watch different documentaries to see how the different directors use interviews and how they do the voiceovers as this is what I will be doing in my documentary. It was interesting to see the different angles they used and how they used the backgrounds. I relate more to the 9/11 documentary as they cut from interviews with people that experienced which is my mum and my grandma then to what actually happened.
